Christmas Eve/End of Year

First off, I wrote this song for our Christmas Eve service at Woodridge. Please take a listen and download it if you’d like it.

Second, this year has been amazing, and I just wanted to recount it on here for you all.

#1: I finally released a CD that captures my sound, entitled Communion. I feel like I know the path of my music now, and how I want it to sound thanks to this album.

#2: I went on tour for a whole month with some of my heroes, The Honey Trees and Sucre. I learned a lot while on tour, and it was at times trying and difficult on my end with technology, but I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

#3: I decided Minnesota is where I’m planting roots. I could move to L.A. or Nashville, sure, but the community I’ve built here and the audience that exists here for music is exactly where I want to be.

#4: 2015 is going to be an amazing, magical, wonderful year of collaborations, recordings, and a lot more performances (maybe even the echoes of another album).

I could not have gotten so far without the support of all the people who buy my CDs, compliment my playing, or are my friends and confidants during this crazy mess we call life. I am so grateful that music is my one true job; my passion. Therefore, I am also grateful to you, audience, that you keep supporting my work and watching for what I’ll do next. I promise it’ll be a worthwhile venture together. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  1. David,

Loved your Christmas composition and look forward to seeing where you head in 2015. You are an incredible musician and having several musicians in my family (my son, Ryan, pianist, and Devon, vocalist, actress, guitarist and pianist), I have a great appreciation for the amount of work required to be a great artist! I’m sure that you have had a supportive family.

All the best in 2015 and beyond!

    Lori
